August 1st is National Mead Day. The recipe will be posted soon on the AHA website

August 8th is an AHA Rally at Sly Fox Brewing Co., so if you're not already a member of the AHA
now's your chance - $33 gets you a membership (normally $38), a subscription to Zymergy, beer discounts, AND
entrance to the event. We need to make a good showing so we can guarantee Nationals will be
held in Philly for 2011

Harvest Festival/Garlic Fest (October 3, 2009) are going to be bigger and better this year.
We need beer and brewers for both of these events and as an incentive, the club will be subsidizing
your ingredients. Reach out to one of the officers if you are interested

Easton Beer Festival - AKA Lehigh Valley Brewfest (October 17, 2009) will be held down by the river.
Keystone will have a booth and has asked for support. If you supply beer, you get in for FREE!!! The
beer served will be chosen from a keg only competition held during our meeting on Sept. 29, 2009

Allentown Craft Beer Festival - Allentown Brew Works (November 7, 2009). We hope to be serving beer
at this event as well, and will be holding another keg only competition at our meeting on Oct. 27, 2009

Teach-a-Friend to Homebrew Day (November 7, 2009). This event is in conflict with the Allentown Craft
Beer Festival, so we are looking into moving this date back, or ahead a week in order to accomodate it.

Malt Madness Label Competition (Nov. 24, 2009) - in an effort to generate more interest as well as some
money for charity, we will be holding our first label competition. This event will cost $1 per entry with ALL
proceeds going to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Based on the turn out of this event, we anticipate
making this a combined part of Malt Madness in the future
