Its all about the barley and hops in one homemade competition. Today Lehigh Valley Home brewers held its first annual Malt Madness Home Brew Competition at the Allentown Brew Works.  More than 276 beers were entered by participants from all over eastern Pennsylvania... and as far away as Colorado. 30 beer judges tasted each brew... giving its creator certified feedback on ways to improve it. There is a huge explosion of interest in craft and home brewing in the area and you know this response here is a great indicator of that and its great if it continues. Winners were awarded medals along with several prizes donated by local businesses.
