About the Event
Q: How does a barrel brew work?
A: Everyone is given a shared recipe to brew on their system. Primary fermentation usually happens at your own home. Once the beer is determined to be safe (i.e. not infected) it is combined with the others in a spirits or wine barrel for aging. Usually 3-6 brewers share a barrel. After aging, the beer is packaged and each brewer gets back the volume they contributed.
