1) Visit one or both of the breweries this weekend

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Election of Officers

As set forth in our club by-laws, elections for officers are normally held during the May meeting, and we typically try to open the floor for nominations in April, but that did not take place. The officers and board members have discussed this issue and primarily for organizational purposes, but also given the current situation, we'd like to propose a change in the by-laws which would allow us to hold our annual elections in November instead of May. On Tuesday night, we'll be asking our members to vote on this change, so please plan to join us if you are available.

If the club membership agrees to this change, all of our current officers have agreed to extend their current terms by an additional 6 months and continue in their roles until elections are held in November.

If there are objections to extending the current terms of the officers, we can move forward with an election process for a six month term and elections will again be held in Nov (providing membership agrees to the change.)

Review the proposed By-laws change here.

Club Competitions

As you all know, things are changing at a rapid pace each day. We're working hard to figure out the best way to hold the club competitions in the face of the challenges. We should have more detailed info available on this Tuesday night, but for now, brewers/teams should plan to have their 1st round bracket submissions available for the June meeting on 6/30. Also, please plan to bottle or can your beer and have at least two 12 oz. bottles or cans available to drop off by June 26th. We're not sure we can make things work with growlers and can't promise you'll get them back. Sorry!

Put it on a shirt!

We're working on some ideas for a new club shirt (and other club merchandise), lead by the efforts of our VP, Ken Solt. We're asking for your suggestions and will be putting some ideas up in the Forum on the website.

AHA Hosts Lehigh Valley Homebrewers

Last month, the AHA and John Moorhead hosted a virtual meeting of the Lehigh Valley Homebrewers. Topics discussed included the impact of Covid-19 on the homebrewing hobby, how to prepare for becoming a certified judge or cicerone, and some fun homebrew club ideas. John also shared his perspective on our legal challenge with serving at local beer festivals. To see John's presentation, click below!
