October 2022 Lehigh Valley Homebrewers Newsletter

Happy Halloween!

"Such a great idea!" "Delicious Beer!" "So well-organized!" These are just some of the compliments we received at the LV Brewers Guild festival last Saturday. Thank you to everyone who helped out and shared their beer at this event, and I hope everyone had a good time!

The monthly meeting falls a little early this month; on Tuesday we'll be at Gallows Hill Distillery. This meeting will also be the final call for T-Shirt orders! Please check your email for the link to the order sheet.

We were approached by a hop grower at the Guild Fest who would like to trade some of his Comet hop harvest for homebrew made with the hops. If you are interested in partnering up and adding some local hops to your next batch, please reach out to John Steckel, jksteckel at ptd.net.

Please take note to some of the upcoming homebrew competitions by our local sister clubs. You can support them by entering and judging. See below for the updated list and critical dates.

We have two exciting events coming up in November, so please check out the upcoming events section of the website (or keep scrolling).

Finally, a reminder that officer elections are slated for the November meeting. All positions are up for nomination (the current slate of officers is stepping down), so please reach out to one of the current officers to understand responsibilities and how you can get more involved with the club. See you on Tuesday!

Brew on!

John Litak

LVHb Club President

Future Meetings:

Meetings are open to anyone (21 and older) who home brews (beer, wine, cider, mead) or is interested in learning about home brewing.  Our club has over 30 certified judges and several members who have "gone pro" by opening their own brewery, meadery, or distillery! - So bring your latest craft creation and get some constructive feedback and/or accolades!
