Greetings Brewers,
A reminder that our meeting will be on Tuesday, April 29th, at Country Club Brewing in Bethlehem, PA. They've arranged for The Burger Shack food truck (menu here) to be there that evening, so come hungry! Doors open at 6:30PM, and the meeting starts at 7:30PM.
Big Brew is almost here, and we're still looking for people to come out to brew an ESB for a cause at Yergey Brewing on Saturday, May 3rd. This year a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Jess Fin Foundation in support of brain tumor research, so sign up on the Events page, bring your brewing system and come brew! As in previous years, all ingredients will provided to you day of, and the boil will be finished in Yergey's system.
Malt Madness is in full swing. Thank you to everyone who helped with the bottle sort, has volunteered to steward or judge, or who has otherwise been involved in making this competition a success. However, there's still work to be done! CRAFTED, a Malt Madness homebrew tasting event, is May 10th from noon-3pm at the Spinnerstown Hotel. This will be a free to the public ticketed event, followed by the awards ceremony for Malt Madness. To make this event a success we need volunteers for setup and day of. Sign up here and here on the events page so we know where we are with help available.

Planning for a BJCP beer judging class and exam have started. At the moment we're targeting Fall for the class, and an exam date in mid-November. If you've ever wanted to learn to taste beer like a judge, or become one, watch the events page for signups and details as they are finalized!
Finally, the usual reminder that we've been looking for an alternative with a low barrier to entry for notifying those interested in news, festival opportunities, or event reminders, etc. outside of the monthly newsletter cycle. To this end, we've created the "LVHB News" Google Group. If you're interested, you should be able to search for lvhb-news@googlegroups.com in the Google Groups search and request to join.
See you Tuesday,
Steve Anthony
LVHB Club President
