May 2023 Lehigh Valley Homebrewers Newsletter

Greetings Brewers,

Our May meeting will be the last Tuesday of the month, May 30th, at Buttzville Brewing in Washington, NJ. We will hopefully be tasting the beer brewed by John Litak, our 2022 Homebrewer of the Year winner. I know it's a longer trip for some of you, but it's always a good time!

The Club Barrel Brew is this Saturday at 9:00am at Keystone Homebrew supply in Montgomeryville. We don't have anyone registered yet, so please register ASAP if you can join us to brew an Old Ale to be judged next year. We'd like to have 15 gallons to fill the Dad's Hat Rye barrel, but more is always welcome!

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Yergey Brewing for Big Brew for a Cause in support of the "She Nailed It" relay to raise money for Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley. Keep an eye on the events page for information on the release event when the beer is tapped in the next week or two.

We hope to have pricing for a pallet buy for the May meeting. If you're unable to make it, please keep an eye on the forum for pricing information and use that to register your interest.

Finally, we had the Brewery Manager at Ridgeview Farm Brewing Co. reach out to us looking for anyone who might be interested in a brewer position with them as they work to expand their operations. If anyone is interested in more details, please request contact information from one of the officers.

See you in May,

Steve Anthony

LVHb Club President

Future Meetings:

Meetings are open to anyone (21 and older) who home brews (beer, wine, cider, mead) or is interested in learning about home brewing.  Our club has over 30 certified judges and several members who have "gone pro" by opening their own brewery, meadery, or distillery! - So bring your latest craft creation and get some constructive feedback and/or accolades!

May is a perfect time to brew together, so come out and join us!
