Greetings Brewers,
Our July meeting will be Tuesday, July 25th, at The Referend Bier Blendery in Kutztown, PA, where we'll learn about spontaneous fermentation. Food will not be available on-site, so make sure to grab something to eat first. Parking at the brewery is tight, but parking is permitted just past the brewery entrance on Jay Ln, off Old 22.
As part of the process for obtaining our non-profit status, we need Articles of Incorporation. The officers met to work through changes to our outdated articles with John Litak, and incorporated feedback from our Board of Directors. We will vote to enact the new Articles at the meeting, please review them beforehand.
Judging for the July Munich Helles/Belgian Blonde competition will take place at the meeting as well; if you have beer and cannot make it, please get in contact and we will work to make arrangements. The next event will be Clam Jam (anything you want) in Easton in August. We're always a popular stop for festival goers, so brew, brew, brew!
Speaking of August, after consulting with our competition coordinator, we've decided to postpone Malt Madness, in order to have sufficient time to solicit and coordinate entries. The new date will be October 14, at Retriever Brewing. We will be, as usual, looking for help before then, so please let us know if you're available to lend a hand.
For those of you who signed up for the pallet buy, we've closed out the order and will contact you with updates when it's shipped and received. If you missed out, we're happy to coordinate another in the fall if there's sufficient interest.
See you on Tuesday,
Steve Anthony
LVHb Club President
Future Meetings:
Meetings are open to anyone (21 and older) who home brews (beer, wine, cider, mead) or is interested in learning about home brewing. Our club has over 30 certified judges and several members who have "gone pro" by opening their own brewery, meadery, or distillery! - So bring your latest craft creation and get some constructive feedback and/or accolades!

OUR BREWERS (are awesome!)
Several of our members made it out to San Diego for Homebrew Con 2023. Now that's commitment!
Rob Meyers took the People Choice award as the PA Homebrew Invitational at Susquehanna Brewing. And he even brewed a beer without ice cream, way to go Rob!
The beer that several club members helped brew for Malt Mania at Two Rivers Brewing took 2nd place in the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship! Congrats to our friends at Two Rivers and the homebrewers who helped out!
