Greetings Brewers,
A reminder that our meeting will be early this month on Tuesday, November 18th, at Cellar Beast Winehouse in Andreas, PA. They've offered to do an optional tour and tasting for anyone interested, at $20 per-person. You are strongly encouraged to register for this if interested before Monday the 17th, so we can get them a headcount. This will begin at 7pm and the meeting will begin after the tasting concludes. Grab something to eat before you arrive, feel free to show up anytime after 6:30PM.
Club elections are this month, so if you're interested in being an officer, or know someone who is, nominations will be open again at the meeting before voting. If you're not able to commit to being an officer in 2026, but are curious about what the positions entail, let use know, and we'll add you to the officer meetings.
Thanks to everyone who came out to for Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day, and a special thanks to Chris Becker for hosting! We brewed about 40-50 gallons of the Russian Imperial Stout with an OG of about 1.100, which is happily fermenting away.
Thanks as well to everyone who helped serve beer for Engineers Without Borders this month, we were basically the bar for their event and helped to make it a successful fundraiser! It's always great to have an opportunity to give back and help raise money for a good cause.

Congratulations to Melody and Kyle Stout as they're taking over Space Time Mead and Cider Works, and just opened a tasting room location at the Quakertown Farmer's Market! We wish you all the best in your new venture. Get out there and see them, the Saw Palmetto mead is especially interesting!

If you're looking to become BJCP certified, we pushed out exam date back, from November to February 28, 2026. Watch the website and Google Group for info on registering. If you're looking to become a judge, our new provisional judges, Rob, Dennis, and Griffin will be happy to help you pass the online entrance exam.
Finally, the usual reminder that we've been looking for an alternative with a low barrier to entry for notifying those interested in news, festival opportunities, or event reminders, etc. outside of the monthly newsletter cycle. To this end, we've created the "LVHB News" Google Group. If you're interested, you should be able to search for lvhb-news@googlegroups.com in the Google Groups search and request to join.
See you Tuesday,
Steve Anthony
LVHB Club President
