Greetings Brewers,
A reminder that our meeting will be on Tuesday, September 30th, at Bonn Place Brewing in Bethlehem, PA. Grab something to eat before you arrive, as usual the meeting starts a 7:30PM.
It's been a busy month, thanks to everyone who came out to serve at Clam Jam, Brew at the Zoo, the Blue Collar Truck Show Scholarship, and First Friday at the National Museum of Industrial History! We raised $497 dollars and donated back $250 at the Blue Collar Truck Show event.
Thanks as well to everyone who came out to help judge for War of the Worts and Motown MASH. Be sure to check the "Our Brewers (are awesome!)" section below for a list of award winners. A special congratulations to Rob Myers, who took Best of Show this year at The Great Allentown Fair for his Strawberry Rhubarb Sour!
Thanks to John, Dan, and Griffin for walking Fair attendees though a critical evaluation of beer in "The Art of Drinking Beer!" Just look at that focus!

Looking forward, we'll be back at the National Museum of Industrial History for First Friday on October 3rd, and at the Oktoberfest Brewer's Village at Steelstacks on October 11th. RSVP on the events page as soon as possible if you haven't yet and are interested in serving. We're also looking for help following the Brewer's Village event to pour growlers of that beer at another event at the National Museum of Industrial History, so if you didn't brew but want to help out, let us know!
Thanks as well to everyone who came out for the Club Barrel Brew at Keystone Homebrew Supply. Our beer is resting in the barrel and we're excited to taste it in a few months!
If you're looking to become BJCP certified, we pushed out exam date back, from November to February 28, 2026. Watch the website and Google Group for info on registering. Congrats to our new provisional judges, Rob, Dennis, and Griffin! If you're looking to become a judge, they'll be happy to help you pass the online entrance exam.
Finally, the usual reminder that we've been looking for an alternative with a low barrier to entry for notifying those interested in news, festival opportunities, or event reminders, etc. outside of the monthly newsletter cycle. To this end, we've created the "LVHB News" Google Group. If you're interested, you should be able to search for lvhb-news@googlegroups.com in the Google Groups search and request to join.
See you Tuesday,
Steve Anthony
