July 2025 Lehigh Valley Homebrewers Newsletter

ree

Greetings Brewers,

A reminder that our meeting will be on Tuesday, July 29th, at Ranch City Brewing in Easton, PA. Their kitchen will be open, so come early to eat before the meeting, which as usual begins at 7:30PM

The deadline for entry registration for The Great Allentown Fair is Monday, July 28th. The entry forms and registration fee must be postmarked by that date. The club will be offering participation prizes, and participants may opt to submit a second bottle to be judged separately for a pro-am brewing opportunity with McCall Brewing, so sign up! Entries will be collected by the club closer to the Fair and delivered on your behalf. See the event page for all the details.

Speaking of the events page, the club has a number of upcoming opportunities to serve your libations to the public, as we head into festival season in the Lehigh Valley. Register now, start brewing, and come out to have a great time and share your passion!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the summer club picnic, and to John and Marcie Litak for hosting this event. It's always nice to have an opportunity to get together for some good food, drinks, and fun in the sun.

Keystone Hops has announced that the 30th edition of War of the Worts has been scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. Registration on their site is open, so add your entries, and if you're BJCP certified, sign up to judge.

Finally, the usual reminder that we've been looking for an alternative with a low barrier to entry for notifying those interested in news, festival opportunities, or event reminders, etc. outside of the monthly newsletter cycle. To this end, we've created the "LVHB News" Google Group. If you're interested, you should be able to search for lvhb-news@googlegroups.com in the Google Groups search and request to join.

See you Tuesday,

Steve Anthony

LVHB Club President
